Amazing
5Nice quality product, really happy to try it, absolutely fantastic product, definitely recommend
Great to use between colouring
4I have to admit this worked much better than I thought it would, it was perfect to cover my grey roots whilst in lockdown and much better than some other leading brands Ive used in the past. The colour was a perfect match for my medium to dark brown hair. I have quite alot of grey in my roots, which it covered really well and was quick and simple to apply. It lasted well for about 5 washes and is ideal if you don't want a permanent colour, would highly recommend. The only reason for 4 stars is that it is a tad highly priced but does what is says on the tin and left my hair nice and soft and shiny too.
Great coverage
5Natural hair dye
Frustrating
1I tried the light chestnut last year- it didnt take. So I tried dark chestnut this year, no coverage at all of my roots but it darkened the rest of my hair (and the batchroom- its so messy!). They should state clearly that it doesn't have good coverage- onl;y use if you have a few wee grey hairs poking through. Stick to normal box dyes for proper grey coverage. Currently trying to find the expiry date and serial number of the bottle, as they need this for any complaints follow up. Dug the box out of the recycle bin- no sign of exp date. I give up. I spend a lot with CR on conditioners. They are good but honestly- Im going elswehere I think.
Hmmm not great
1I had high expectations for this product but sadly it just did not deliver. Its soo much flaf for a few days colour. The cost is quiet high for a product that doesnt last long.
Great product!
5During the first lockdown I tried the lighter shade in this dye and it was a disaster. My hair was a brassy gold at the roots. So if you are mid brown to dark with grey roots, get the darker shade. The website lacks guidance in this respect, I think. The dark chestnut works really well. I have quite a lot of grey roots and this dye did blend them in with the rest of my hair quite nicely. It doesnt cover like semi or permanent dyes, but it will definitely do the job if you are in between colouring or want to use something more gentle on your scalp.
Lovely product
4I purchased this product a few weeks ago to cover an increasingly annoying grey breakthrough around the front and parting of my hair. I would say I have medium-dark brown hair with lighter tones throughout. I didnt want a permanent fix as that can end up having disastrous consequences. This product was really great for giving a temporary makeover (three washes in and still there (mostly). It leaves your hair with a lovely conditioned shine. I used a mask on the ends whilst waiting the 40 mins. I dont have excessive greys in my hair so perhaps that made a difference.Next time I might leave it for an extra 5 mins for the more stubborn greys at the front. Very happy overall with it.
Gorgeous
5I was looking for a rich brown colour & this is perfect. My hair was lovely & shiny too. Definitely buy this again.
Roots covering
2Sadly I wasnt impressed with this product I regularly visit a high quality hair salon and during lockdown did not wish to mess with their work. Firstly I used the LOréal root spray which brushes/washes out however as time went on & as a pharmacist continue to work customer facing (a headscarf not very professional) I was hoping for some coverage semi permanent until the salon re-opens. I left it on for one hour as my hair is thick & strong the results were little coverage on grey roots & a darkening of the rest of my hair. On a positive the condition of my hair remains good but for the price of this product very disappointing
Great to sort out your hair temporarily without any risk
5This is great - I have dark brunette hair, a bit of greys at the temples and top of my head and a lighter balayage which hasnt been touched in 4 ths and isnt great. I used the gel with the little brush to colour the greys first and then run the brush through my hair to reverse balayage it - Great result!! No risk of messing up your colour for ever and you can keep doing it every 2-3 weeks until the salons open again. Its very easy to correct a yellowing/brassy balayage or highlights with this if you have dark hair, I didnt even section my hair but will try next time to cover more brassy balayage. It rinses off rapidly yes I would say after 2 weeks you probably need to do it again, but zero risk as it washes off little by little. I love it!!
