Great
4I was lucky enough to be able to try this product for free. This was great for masking the grey hairs I have growing through until I can get to the hairdressers. Will be making sure to pick this up again!
Easy to use
5This product was easy to use and gave a great colour and condition to the hair. I would highly recommend but would suggest more colour options. My hair is usually darker but because of lockdown it has lightened so this suited perfectly.

5I used this on my husband and it's brilliant! He had a lot of grey showing but now he's feeling more confident :) wish it lasted longer though lol
ok - but very warm/reddish
3this is an ok product for between salon visits. it takes 40 mins when you put it on - and holds only a was or two - not 5-7 as described. Also greys are somewhat coloured but still look through. I also have trouble finding a colour match - this would be ok if it would be more ashen - it's very warm/reddish and looks very unnatural.
Huge help
5My hair went grey during the lockdown, and I was really bummed, because I knew I could not recreate my highlighted brown hair at home. I decided that a light brown was better than nothing, so decided to try the gel. The nice part for me is that, yes -- it isn't a deep, dark, saturated color, so my greys are not totally covered. Instead, they came out a bit lighter, almost like highlights. Leaves hair very soft, and truly was easy to use. I'm impressed. Have used twice and will use again.
Awful product
1Despite the negative reviews I tried the Dark Chestnut gel on my dark brown hair, since I have not had success with other specialized at-home hair color. Other than being easy to use, this was a disaster. It did not cover any of my greys, it turned the top of my hair jet black, and it also left my scalp jet black. I just hope this washes out soon. This product should not be on the market. A horrifying experience.
my corona isolation hair needing help
5I was desperate to do something with my hair color. It has been almost 3 months since my last salon color visit. I was tentative about doing my own color and I heard great reviews about Christophe Robin. I purchased the light chestnut temporary color and followed the directions. I love it. My grays are covered, the color looks warm and all the brassiness is gone. I only wish that it was a permanent color! Thank you for this amazing color!
Nice color, doesn't cover grey
3This is very easy to use, and the overall color achieved is natural and pretty, but it absolutely does not cover grey hair. I've used it twice, and both times, I'm happy with the overall color. I just wish it covered the grey.
Color did not work as hoped
1I bought this color for my mother, who has very gray roots to her chestnut colored hair. While the color was easy to apply and the instructions very helpful, it did not cover the gray as hoped. In fact, the product provided only a very light/translucent tint over the gray. Even worse, the first time my mother washed her hair there was no coverage of the roots at all. That problem was made more noticeably because the color had darkened the ends of her hair, and that did not wash out. Overall, very disappointed.
Temporary color gel
3Have used this product twice recently since salons are currently closed. I have very few gray hairs and was hoping this would be a solution. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that well. 40 minutes is the suggested time to leave the product on. Actually left it for 50 minutes the second time but same result. Expensive and disappointing.
