Great coverage
5Natural hair dye
Not bad
4This is like a henna. It’s very dark at first but does fade nicely. Some of my grays faded after 2 washes. The dye is gentle, and smells alright. Would I buy again? Yes. I recommend for someone who just wants to cover grays, and for someone who eventually wants to transition to henna, this a good choice. I’ll be getting 2-2.5 uses out of the bottle. I have medium length Curly hair.
A waste of time and money. Did not provide any gray coverage
1This product did nothing to cover the gray hairs. I understand that it is not a permanent color gel but my grays turned out a greenish blonde tint that was truly awful looking.
So disappointing!
1I ordered this gel hoping that it will cover the grays that are starting to show at the hair part line. I followed the instructions religiously and the result was nothing short of disappointing. The grays took a very odd greenish blonde tint. I knew going in that this was temporary color but I did not expect to have such an strange outcome. Needless to say that I headed to the hair salon to mend the damage. The only reason why I am giving it 1 star is because you cannot chose 0. Don't waste your time nor money!
Surprisingly effective
4Based on other reviews I was prepared for gray coverage to be disappointing. But the gel actually covers my grays completely. As the chestnut color diminishes over five or six washes, the grays emerge with a decidedly purple tone that blends in an interesting way with the brown. This product offers an excellent solution for times like now when salons are closed and hair is the least of one’s problems. If I can figure out how to stabilize the color at a brown with purple highlights I might never go back to a salon for semi-permanent dye. I have never before colored my hair at home so I cannot compare this gel to other products, but I find it relatively easy to use. Staining is minimal and, like the gel, temporary.
Easy
5Easy application, good coverage. I didn't realize it was a black henna so didn't know what to expect. It's been 3 weeks maybe. I've only washed my hair 4-5 times and coverage is still good. It was easy and nice not to have to mix anything up, and nice I can reuse the leftover next time. So good value too.
Experiment
5Desperate with salon closed, I tried this color which came out way too dark, almost black, and held much longer than previous temporary ones years ago, BUT my hair was shiny, healthy looking, covered long grey roots 100% and no longer dry and brittle looking. I can’t wait to try mixing lighter colors when available and am going to stock up for next salon closing! Great product! Please increase color line. If not so pricey, I would switch to using it permanently.
Fantastic
5My hair came out very soft and shiny. I am happy that there are no chemicals to make my hair dry and abrasive. Highly recommended!
Does not cover grays
1Had high hopes but this does nothing to cover grays.
