Colour trend: red or dead

Redheads exude sensuality in the same way as blondes but red creates a more elegant look and also influences your mood. Red inspires audacity and self-confidence, which is why stars like Julia Roberts and Julianne Moore have used it to express their personalities.

Redheads have made history backstage in haute couture, too

Remember Yves Saint Laurent’s subversive style when he combined red hair with red and green lips? Just like red lipstick, red hair is a way of expressing individuality and independence. Ideal for when the weather is gray! Redheads like Jessica Chastain and Emma Stone radiate on screen thanks to their flamboyant hair.

But how do you pick your shade when there are so many to choose from?

Obviously, every woman is different, and the right shade depends on your skin tone, eyes and eyebrows as well as your natural hair color. In general, those with dark skin should opt for a dark red shade, like deep mahogany.

If you have fair skin and light-colored eyes, you can try a more vibrant red like copper. If you are blond, you can go for strawberry blond shades, which are very warm, like Kelly Reilly and Nicole Kidman.

But red is a fragile color that requires special maintenance

To reveal highlights and maintain a radiant color, I recommend my shade variation care chic red. It cancels out the effects of oxidation and balances out yellow tones, restoring the hair’s beautiful copper highlights.

Application is simple: start by washing your hair using my Clarifying Shampoo with Chamomile and Cornflower or my Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt, which liberates the hair from residues (pollution, hair products and mineral deposits). You can then apply the treatment: apply a small amount on towel-dried hair from root to tip. Leave it for between 5 and 30 minutes depending on the desired result.
