Coloured hair needs highly specialised hair care for one simple reason: it is chemically modified which means the cuticles have been opened to dissolve the natural pigments.
These cuticles remain open, which means you have to nourish hair on a regular basis to close the cuticles and seal in colour
This is a delicate operation which, when handled badly, can damage the hair and cause breakage. It can also mean that the colour doesn’t last. I’ve always used hair care specifically developed to protect coloured hair deep down.
It was with this in mind that I created my first two treatments, which have become cult products today
These two essential treatments replace numerous traditional methods that can be aggressive and contain silicone and polymers. These methods do not protect your hair in the long term. These two intense products will quickly become essential in your coloured hair care routine. My Moisturizing Hair Oil with Lavender will restore the lipid layer, prevent breakage and deeply nourish hair. How does it work? This oil has a balm texture and liquefies when heated. This means you can target specific areas when you apply it. Its SPF6 also allows you to protect hair from the sun. My Cleansing Mask with Lemon is one of the best alternative solutions for washing your hair. It was a precursor to the No-Poo movement. Its benefit? It is a genuine 3-in-1 product that deeply nourishes and cleanses without detergents (and so doesn’t lather), leaving hair unbelievably shiny. Paraben and silicone-free, it contains lemon peel which works like blotting paper. After using these two products, you will notice your hair is incredibly soft and light and your colour will look luminous.
You can use my Colour Fixator Wheat Germ Shampoo daily
It has a gentle formula and an acid pH, which closes the hair’s cuticles and seals in colour pigments inside the hair fibres. It should be used regularly with the Colour Fixator Wheat Germ Mask. This deeply nourishing mask is rich in pro-vitamin B5, which preserves colour.
